This award-winning adaptive re-use revitalized a neglected cluster of historic buildings into a multi-use structure that now contributes to the historic character of its National Register designated East Center City Commercial Historic District neighborhood.
Built in the mid-to-late 18th century, these buildings have had a long and fascinating life of hosting iconic local businesses, with as many renovations, penetrations, and divisions as its had tenants. SgRA restored the aging facades and reconnected the buildings internally for the structure’s new life as home to two restaurants and 12 residential units.
